Renovations

MORTON ST.

Major Kitchen and Family Room Addition and Whole House Make-over of 1908 Victorian "Four-square" in Andover, MA. Received Award from Andover Historical Society and Commission for "Appropriate Addition/ Renovation".

#55 PRESCOTT ST.

Complete renovations and major additions to 2 existing Victorian homes. Also includes creation of "rear-lot sub-division" and design of new duplex residence keeping in the Victorian character of the adjacent homes.

PENACOOK PLACE

The first phase of this project was to renovate the kitchen, breakfast and dining areas. This work was completed within the existing boundaries of the affected spaces. The second phase was to provide a major exterior façade makeover, and new entry features at the front, side, and rear of the house. The solution transformed the dated, builder-Tudor house into a New England “Shingle” style cottage, reflecting the owners’ sense of design, quality, and lifestyle, while enhancing the home’s place in the lovely neighborhood.

#31 RIPLEY

An additional building lot was created from an existing highly sloped site containing an original Victorian carriage house. The carriage house was fully renovated and enhanced by additions sympathetic to its historic significance. A new 4500s sf. “shingle-style” residence, respectful of the adjacent carriage house, was then created for the site.

FORD RESIDENCE

Reflecting the contemporary Tudor-esque character of the home, the solution balances the English homeowners’ requests for elegant, refined materials, details and craftsmanship, with the design and functional flexibility to comfortably accommodate elegant entertaining and the activities of two energetic young boys. This project awarded 1st Place for best Kitchen Remodel in Qualified Remodeler magazine annual Design Awards.

SPOONHILL RD

The owners of this ca. 1760 Colonial home had previously restored the existing living area and exterior features. RDA’s goal was to help rearrange the living spaces as needed to create a modern kitchen reflecting the traditional style of the house. A redesigned space above the garage to accommodate a new office/guest suite was also provided.
